Just picked up my 99 a4 1.8t Quattro 5spg last week. I love it, but its just sooooooooo slow (getting a apr chip), it is my daily so I don't mind. I picked it up with 100k miles.. I plan on replacing the timing belt/tensioner/waterpump this weekend as it is probably overdue. Seems like people don't like the stock stereo, but I think the bose sounds awesome, better than either of my BMWs. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Here are pics. My other car is a e39 528i and E36 325is with obd1 3.2 with some goodies

Bought the car in Raleigh, NC. I live in Raleigh/Charlotte NC. I bought this car to commute between the two and daily drive.

ASA AR1 17x8 and 17x9 that i spray painted balack in the center. 1 month later they started making them with black centers.

Very nice. That has got to be my favorite color for the A4's.

Most people love the stock stereo. Some people (like me for instance) are just plain nuts and want a little more. Others like a little more thump and throw in a sub and are more than happy with it.

My A4 has more bass than my roomates BMW m3 with factory sub! Bose appears to have baffled the hell out of those speakers.

Yes I have a 3.2 m3 engine that i converted to OBD1. Running GC coilovers with 600/550 spring rates. Sorry guys, but the a4 seems to be very front heavy.

Did I get a good price on the car? From what I can tell I think I did pretty well.

 

i have another question is it the EURO M3 engine of the US 240hp engine casue my friend is thinking of dumpin the euro m3 in his 95 M3

and 8000 is an alrite price for the car casue of the high miles
