So I recently (two weeks ago) purchased a 2002 A4 1.8t 56,000 miles. After 6 days CEL light came on (P0411 seconday air incorrect flow)...I'm sure this will co$t me.Now wheneverI back outfrom reverse and begin to turn the wheel i fill a click/grind in the gas pedal. It only does this after making a tight turn from park either drive or reverse (no other times)and I can feel it distinctly in the pedal. Any thoughts for the newbie?

P0411 is the secondary air injection system possible leak in the pipes the other is the C/V joints and only happens on tight turning ( take it back to whom you bought it and ask them to repair the C/V joints ( especially if it was from a garage ) and they should sort the air injection problem out as well

 

ARGH! I was hoping no one would say CV joints (though I had that awful suspicion) any ideas on cost for an indie garage?

DIY mate its not that hard if you have the tools if not ask around and not the garages

 

yea man not really that hard of a job, just DIY or if you really gotta take her in it will probably be 150 + parts but thats just a guess
