So i finally got my Audi. Its a beautiful 2001 A4 1.8t quattro! It was a great deal only 40000 miles. Black on black with the sports suspension. It rides beautifully. My first manual car and its so much fun i love it. I used to drive my mothers 2000 eclipse and that will always be my baby but this car kicks ***.

Heres the trouble, when i was talking to the dealer the first time i saw it my mom was saying how i wanted to maybe do some mods on it blah blah and he was saying not to blah blah. Anyway when i went up to get the car yesterday as I was driving away in it he told me the previous owner put a chip in it but he didnt want to say it infront of my mother which is kind of weird. I asked him what kind but he didnt know. Sorry this is long but how do i get to the ECU to see if there is a chip on it?

The CEL is on and i know that happens sometimes with chipped cars so i got it scanned and the code is P0171 Fuel Trim system lean. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

sorry didn't mean to be an *** but i got teh same treatment when i started ... I just got my hoses and plugs and coils checked // changed today
