drroy - ask to test drive another one to compare. When I took my car back after my dad took it to the dealership to have the clutch replaced, when I picked it up, the shifter was way out of alignment. When I showed them, they said it was normal - thats how every Audi is. I had to drag the guy out into the lot to show him that every stickshift Audi in the lot has the shifter pointing straight up in nuetral, not all the way in the 4th gear position like mine was.

Make some noise at the dealership until they fix it.

Not sure what to tell you about the acceleration, but the 2.0T's are loud. They have a totally different sound than the 1.8T's

... To add to my comment, there is likely nothing wrong with your car. You may simply be paranoid.

Okay i work at audi i too have wondered about B7 a4's 06+ that GROWL/GURGLE under acceleration. Seems like almost everyone one i drive does it. Mostly the automatics, actually havent heard that coming from a manual b7 a4.

its really weird. take it in and ask them. OH and use 91 or higher.

I have an 07 2.0T 6spd. I notice that the engine is a little louder than my last car, which was a G35. I epect the engine sound to be, well like a 4 cyclinder. I would not call it loud, but it sounds a bit louder than my last car. I drove the 3.2 as well and that seemed a bit quieter. I could not justify the 4100 more for the v6 and I wanted to get much better mileage than the 22 I was averaging with my G35.

The 2.0t fsi runs a 10.5-1 compression ratio, it will be a little louder but without hearing it in person I couldn't tell you if something is wrong.

Thats interesting.... Why would the 2.0T's be so loud, 1.8T's run like a dream especially on the freeway. How are 2.0T's on the freeway?
