New A4...suggestions for beginners mods
2004 A4 quattro 1.8t 6 speed.
I'm looking to do some mostly exterior mods, I have a warranty so I don't want to do anything to the engine that would void it.
So where do you guys usually start for something like this? I'm thinking tints, but I don't want to go too dark. Clear corners are also something I want to do, but I couldn't find any online. Whats a good place to get those from?
Other than that, I can't really think of anything else...so I'm looking for some suggestions.

Hmm, nice that your lowers are already painted.
New wheels would be nice.
Debadge.
Some coilovers if its not sport already
I like the front rings removed personally, but not the rear.
Borla or Milltek exhaust wont void warranty. Put a k&Nfilter in the stock box too.
Theres a few ideas for you. You can probably get away with a chip too, thats by far the best mod, not sure if that voids it or not, but usually they cant tell its chipped.

Debadge.
Coilovers; your car sits too high.
Wheels.
Exhaust.
Those should be easy ones.
Tint is cool. Mine is 35% with 20% on back window.
Watch K&N filter if you go that route, as B6 MAF's have been szhitcanned from the oil on the filter.

Do google search for ecode headlight housings. They are the euro-spec housings that have no amber reflector in them. But they are pricey and depending on your state, could fail inspection without an orange reflector up front.
Otherwise, you either have to know someone or follow the DIY how-to's on the other audi forums.... and be good with a dremel.

jeffthecheff, nice ride.
personely im not a big fan of putting all your money on lowering your car, chipping it, putting an exhaust on heror putting new rims on (unless the rims are realy thatugly, which yours arnt) for first mods.
i would go with the light things first......
first thing i would do is smack a fullKnN induction kit, chrome pipe and everything,in there.
then i would buy new headlights, smoked ones though. and smoked side markers. put either black or silver eyelids on the headlights.
i would spray the rear lights with night shades (im yet to do mine).
new front, lower and upper, grills. i made my own lower grills.
upgrade the light bulbs everywhere or hid's.
maybe a carbon fiber hood?
chrome wing mirror housings might look good?
i would put in my ownsound system. im not keen on the video systems, i dont realy see the point of it in cars, they look mental in suv's, trucks ect, but im a bit fussy with them in cars.
window tints would change how she looks big time!! expect to pay quite a bit of money for this since you do want them to do a good job and have a good quality tint.
then maybe go for the exhaust and rims. i would sujest that you lower your car once you put new rims on since you'll probly get bigger rims.
then maybe thechip. i havnt had mine chipped, not even looking into it, dont even know if theres a chip for a 12v?? i havnt drove a car that has been chipped so i cant say much on this one.
but thats things that i would do anyway........

Find a chip-friendly dealer (they DO exist!) and get that thing flashed right away. It will totally transform the car. REVO is awesome for the B6, as is APR and GIAC.
I know you don't really want to do performance stuff, but the chip is something every 1.8T owner needs to do. My dad babies his A4, but he's got it chipped. It's a joy to have when you want to pass somebody, or if you want to have a bit of fun.
Then, as has already been said, debadge it, lower it, and get some nice wheels. B6 A4's on 19's ride better than a B5 on 17's... so don't be afraid to go big!
B6's need 19's if you ask me. 18's usually look too small.
But, if this all sounds crazy... give us a budget and we will help you allocate it properly.
