hey guys.... ok, this morning i went to the Audi dealership and got the 710n dv. WOW, what a difference. firstly, i'm not worried about pressing on the gas and secondly, what difference. With the APR and the 710n, it truly makes a world of a difference. The car seems to constantly want to move, no more lag, no more sluggish moves. I'm more than pleased with the result of the chip. Money well spent, in my opinion.

what did that do to ur gas milage? out here in california, its a big problem, and is what mainly holding me back from my performance minded plans

 

it's only been 24 hrs since i got the car chipped, so i cant give you an "Accurate" reading on this. Right now it seems like i have metal feet so i'm flooring the gas =)

i'll let u know in a couple of days when i can truly test the car for mpg.

How much did the 710n cost you in TO ?

 

Why did u go with the 2 piece ones? U should have done the mod to the 1 piece (i will be doing soon). I also recomend some wheels (if u care about the look), some suspension mods and a keep $30 dollar smoked or clear sidemarkers from ebay.

 

it came to $60CAD at the audi dealership. Not that bad.

i was thinking of doing the 1 piece headlights but i found the lights for $200 shipped (including clear corner lights) and i took it. They look really nice actually. the suspension will have to come later on in the year...

 

Congrats on the chip. I'm sure it's a lot of fun to drive. The headlights look nice too.

I know the chip is new to you and all. But did you notice a difference in the power of the chip after u installed the 710N ?

 

u know whats weird.... i'm the 2nd owner of the car... the previous owner was old... rarely drived it... was too busy in meetings... we bought the car off of him a year ago wieh 80,000kms on it.... it is a '98 1.8t. i went to the audi dealership and purchased the 710n. when i went to put it on, i realized that the dv that was already on was 710n... but the part #... the beginning digits were different... the new one was 6ax xxx 710n (x represents #'s i dont remember)... and the old one was... 58x xxx 710n..... so not much difference... but than again, when i chipped it that night i didnt really go fast because of concerns that the dv couldnt handle the extra pressure.

so i cant give an honest answer to that....
