Default Need sticky's

I haven't been here very long but I have noticed a lot of hostility on these forums. Most of it because of people asking questions which have been answered several times. So why don't we have sticky's for all the common stuff? I know you can just search for most of it, but then you end up with 10 threads and half of them saying to go search for the answer.

I think this is one of the more calm forums. Other places would have you getting flamed much much worse.

I hate stickies... like ugly tumors on the top of the forum. Lets make the search function neon green.... and flashing.

I made a mention of this very same thing a few threads down. It makes the most sense to people with even the smallest amount of common sense. I hope those with the power to make the changes begin seeing the neccessity for these threads as we will all benifit from them. Threads without questions, that would be nice. Seems most just want to point to the search feature as a crutch rather than try to cure the problem. And it is a problem.

well it's not like cancer or anything... but yeah...

the most obvious questions should be searched for... if you have some wierd quirky thing going on... then obviously post it up!

The concern I think was that people were posting stuff... and there was the same question already there -- on the same bloody page! Lots of us here all of the hours we spend on a computer... it gets tiresome to see the same questions all the time.

Now, getting serious... Does anybody know where I can get a sweet blow off valve?

Pssshsshhshsh!! Sweet!

Ok, how about one sticky with links to threads which answer common questions? I think the only problem might be if everything is already answered in one thread this place would become a ghost town [8D]

well to help solve this problem what we need is more tech writeups.. I believe that if we did that.. we could get a lot accomplished.. and ask more serious questions.. or opinions.. if we posted stuff like how to replace your DV.. then somebody wouldnt have to ask where it is
