recently bought some Sumitomo HTR+ 245/40WR 18. Handles great on dry and wet alike. I dont know how big your wheels are right now, but www.tirerack.com seemed to have everything. Best bet is to check that out.

What kind of driving do you do? personally I use Toyo Proxis RA-1, but i wouldn't recommend them in the rain at all, also they wear out really fast. But if you want the best in dry traction and cornering RA-1's are the way to go. BFG makes a good wet/dry tire; g-force kdw. EXPENSIVE!!!!

I agree w/ hawk and slim... Tirerack for choices, but the choice based upon your driving.

I've had a set of Dunlop Sport A2s on our '01 A4 quattro... probably 30,000 miles. They're great in the snow and rain but the noise they make would wake the dead. This is my wife's daily driver so I am considering Goodyear's Assurance Triple Tread... not crazy about the brand, but my historical favorite is a certain French company (yeah - I know they're made in the U.S.), that isn' getting 'franc one' from me.

The last time the French asked for proof of an adversary's intent, it came marching through Paris under a swastika.

We now return control of your display devide to you, until next post, when once again we take you to... The Aud-er Limits...

I have the same car as you and bought the Falken tires for $85 CDN each. I am very pleased with the tire especially in the rain. Not sure how good it will be in the snow but I will let you know.
The tire is worth all the money I spent on it.
