Need a quick simple answer.
Since I'm very new to Audi's, there is no particular way to jack up my b6 right? Just throw the jack under and go up with it? I need to change my oil and wanted to make absolutely sure before I started raising her up.

Don't you have a manual??? Well I don't know about the b6 but on the b5 the lifting points are indicated by diamond indentations on the lower molding. I'm guessing a b6 would have this too. Its a b5 but this might help you out, check out the pics... https://www.audiforums.com/m_15746/tm.htm And don't use the pathetic jack thats in the car.

My A6 manual tells me the points to jack from and has a little slot to plug the crap jack into, ahead of the rear tires and behind the fronts. The idiot who owned it before me jacked it between the two jack points and there is a dent in the floor right there.

Follow there instructions....
Get a cover or box or sumthing. Get underneath your car look for the lifting points. You really should only place the jack there. I have put it under other points on my car. Although, I dont reccomend this.
If you dont need to get that high. Use the AUDI JACK TOOL. And get 2 jack stands.

Well, the first thing to know is that you NEVER GET UNDER A CAR THAT IS SUPPORTED BY A JACK.
Get a set of wheel ramps or jack stands. Make sure tha car is stable on the jack stands or wheel ramps, and the rear wheels are chocked both in front and behind.
