Default need help getting pointed in the right direction

i bought an already giac chipped ecu for my 99 a4, and got the maf low cir input code and throttle position contr malfunction. ( i did the whole throttle adaption thing too)..well got it cleared and drove it for a day with just rough idling..on my way home from work tonight the cel came on again, and im assuming its the same codes..just need to know where i should look for problems with these codes, or should i just put the factory ecu back in and assume this chipped one doesnt work for me. i really liked the power gains though; even if i only got to feel em for a day.

Did you make sure everything was exactly the same on your old ecu as far as numbers go?? Id try the throttle adaption thing again and drive it for a while see if it clears up........

the numbers are the same...and im trying the throttle adaption again...but i also noticed that at the top of the vacuum hose going into the intake manifold is starting to fray alittle bit....is that just a cover for the real hose underneath, or is that the actual hose cuz if so then maybe thats the probable its starting to leak through.
