hi everyone,

I just got a A4 stick shift with abt 77000 miles on it is a 2001. I have a couple of problems when I open the throttle in neutral the car wobbles a bit but if i continue the gas it sort of settles down does this have anything to do with misfire???? also when i accelerate in 1st gear i hear a weird kind of noise but it becomes alright as soon as i shiift to 2nd or up can anyone plese help me with this thank you.

 

so when it wobbles do u mean like the car sorta twists in one direction? and wut kind of noise are u hearing? there can be many different noises a car can make

 

thanks for replying so fast ....you are right it sort of twists up and i dont know how to exactly describe the noise it is kind of deeper then you would expect like when a mustang acclerates but not an a4 if you get what i am saying....

 

the twist is ok, it's jsut the way the pistons turn. as for the sound i have no idea wut ur talking bout. u should go drive ur car sum more and maybe a better description will pop up in ur head, that's how i usually do it

if you got misfire you should have seen check engine light flashing, if u not sure if u had any it’s always good idea to start from scanning for codes. i wouldn’t drive that much knowing my car misfires it might coz more problems… have it checked…
