Default Need help from all 12V drivers

ok guys this i pretty much a repostfrom another one of my questions but i wanna know this from the 12v drivers specifically.i recently flushed my coolant with G12, the previous owner used the green stuff and it came out black. anyways with the i never actually drove the car in cold weather with a working tempreture gauge and during summers the car would warm up in about 5 minutes. today i actually timed it and it took the heater less than 5 minutes to kick in, the tempreture gauge didnt get to the first notch till about 10 mintes fromt he minute i pulled out from my garage. and didnt hit dead center tiol about 15 minutes from driving off, also with the car off fro more than 30 minutes the the tempreture gague is at cold again given itll warm up a bit faster and the heater will still blow hot.so my question is does this sounds normal to you guy, i know in my honda it would warm up to center in maybe 10 minutes and my buddys X5 warms up to dead center in 5 minutes. And yes the ECT sesnor was replaced over the summer.

I've never actually paid real attention to it before, I'll have to check over winter break and get back to you on that one.

Yeah it was about 23 deg F here this morning, and I had to drive about 7-10 minutes, after whichthe oil temp only just reached the 150 mark at the bottom of the gauge, and the engine temp was still pointing at C. Heater was only just starting to come on and (as usual) the heated seat became toasty just as I pulled into my parking spot.[:@]

I can't wait until I have my own house with a garage so I can go turn the car on and let it warm up while I eat breakfast.

If I recall it took a while to get mine warm too, but if your coolant is new (and there's no problem using the green stuff if you change it enough), your temp gauge sender is fine, your water pump and thermostat are fine then don't worry about it. Did you flush the cooling system before putting in the G12?

I don't know if I can say that it's normal; I've only had the car for nine months, and most of that time was fair or hotweather. But so far since it's been cold again, this seems to be how mine is behaving.

IDK it usually takes 10 minutes to warm up. Just idling it take like 20.

OT: Changed the radiator yesterday. Easier than I expected. No more puddles

i dont know i never drove ANY of my audis in cold weather with the tempreture functioning. so im just gonna say its normal, m main concern was since the car took so long to warm up id wasteing alot of gas because it would run rich but my fuel consumption dosent seem so bad, IDK well see what happens. but as long as wood_e and flippant say thats how their 12v acting ill assume for the time being that its a 12v thing.

Sounds right to me, even the S4 can take a while to get up to temp. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
