Default My Review: GIAC Chip, N75h, 710N installed today!

I just recently bought my A4 about 2 weeks ago, I haven't even picked up my tag yet, and today I had the chip installed at a local GIAC dealer here in the Atlanta area. My N75 and 710N also came via UPS from ECStuning.com .. so i was pretty stoked to get everything done today.

1st off.. .all i can say is .... wow! ... 1st and 2nd gear doesnt even feel close to the stock A4... the car pulls so much harder and smoother in 3rd and 4th gear and has great highway acceleration..

I used the tech articles from audiworld.com website to install my N75 and 710N.. overall it was very easy.. It took my about an hour to install both, and i would say that 60% of the time was spent removing the stupid *** factory clamps...

I couldnt be more satisfied with my car at the moment... i havent had any overboost issues with the N75h (knock on wood) as of yet and just got back from a good test run...

$550 could not have been spent any better

I researched and SEARCHED for weeks now about this stuff and found everything i needed to know through search and without annoying everyone with "how to" "whats this" posts..

so anyone looking to do these mods... SEARCH SEARCH

big props to audiworld.com and their tech articles

+1 satisfied GIAC customer [sm=gears.gif]

Nice man... Thats cool as hell. I have all those same mods and i am very happy too. You get a cookie for using the search so diligently, and $550 is an awesome price for all that.. I dont know how you got away with only spending $550?? My GIAC was $500+labor=$560, N75 used for $45, 710N for $35 ===$640.. So good for you!! I know what you mean about the OEM clamps on the N75, they are a pain.. But I ended up replacing mine with oem clamps anyway. Hopefuly ill never have to take them off again.

Here ya go

eurotech-atlanta.com is the local shop that i got my chip from and the ones that installed it.. the shop and the people here are amazing...

my car is a 99.5 so the chip was only $395 + tax and $32 for install

got my N75 and 710n from ECS..i think it was around $110 for both of those

money well spent..!

p.s. that cookie looks damn good.. glad i searched ..

they told me the 99.5 was $395 and 2000+ models were $495 ..

that was there price.. i didnt argue! .. i dont have the flash loader or anything.. so maybe its the base price of the chip without the optional settings mode..

http://www.eurotech-atlanta.com/ this is the shop here in the Atlanta area they are VW , Audi , and Porsche specialists.. everytime i go by the shop there are several Porsche 911s just sitting there... very A+ shop

Well just so you know, dont expect consistant performance with the chip for the first couple weeks.. Mine, at least, took a while to adapt and the power wasnt always there, and i got some fault codes.. But all that went away after about 2 and a hlf weeks with consistant power and no codes.. I was freaked out at first, thinking i had made a huge mistake by gettting chipped.. Boy was I wrong.. GIAC really is awesome.. But you will get used to it.
