I believe Iridiums are correct? Rock Auto has NGK #6458 @ $11.09 Ea or Denso #5304 @ $11.96 Does anyone know what was OEM? And if I do replace coil packs, any reccomendations?

OEM NGK Spark Plugs (#PFR6Q)
There are two types of coils, the older bolt down and the new push down. Either work fine, but the bolt down requires two screws each. Also, one VW master mech that I know prefers the older coil. I've used both with no problems (or noticeable difference).

UPDATE! Well I changed all the plugs and it made no diffence. Then I went to the shop this morning, but nobody was there? I guess they forgot to mention that they were CLOSED! I was pissed so I went across the street to the VW dealer and purchased a coil pack. Started with #4 and no change, switched it to #3 and it is running fine. On the test drive I noticed now that I am getting a bad "hicup" when I accelerate, leave of the gas and get back into it. It's a hard "bump" like noise that I think might be the tranny? I drove to Autozone and they cleared the CEL and it has not returned.
I have the worst luck in the world, fix one thing and now another problem. One last thing, All of the coil packs on the car were 06B-905-115-L and VW sold me a "06B-905-115-R" (L vs R) is this ok? Once again thanks for the help!

The "R" is just the latest version; it should be ok to mix. Are you still having a problem since AutoZone cleared your codes?
You may need to do a throttle body alignment. If you don't have access to a VAG-COM, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and when you reconnect it, turn the ignition to "ON" without starting the engine. Leave it in the "ON" position for at least one minute. Then start the car and test drive it. Let us know what happens.

I can't say for sure on the Audi but on my VW any time I've had ignition probs and fixed it the ECM would take a little while to re-tune itself for the change. I'd drivve if for a couple of days before changing anything else, especially if you aren't getting any codes any more.

Make sure you get the radio code before disconnecting the battery or it will lock up on you.
