It's on the front right side of engine. Remove screws for intake duct. Remove screws for heat shield. Undo 3 of 4 clips on filter box. The 4th clip is very difficult. Wear gloves or get cut up. Remove and replace filter.

listen to the wear gloves advice!!!! i needed 2 stitches after cutting my finger on the airbox heat shroud!!

oh and i got 9.73 lt per 100kms..2000 1.8t at fwd...half towing bike on trailer on highway (cruise set at 110-120kmph) half city driving
