Mp3 Hook up

RE: Mp3 Hook up
For a simple setup I personally recommend using the Monster Cable FM transmitter. I picked mine up at Best Buy for like $40 and it has about 10 different preset stations you can choose from and it just uses a mini stereo jack into your iPod/Mp3 player.

RE: Mp3 Hook up
i own a '02 a4, and i tried to connect my ipod to a newly bought cassette tape adapter and for some reason it makes weird noises like it keeps trying to play side A and then side B of the cassette tape then when it finally plays a song from the ipod it would stop at random times and try to switch sides of the cassette tape before it continues to play the songs... i think it's the car and not the adapter tape. I was goin to buy that transmitter adapter but the guy at circuit city says they suck and are staticy unless you have an auxillary outlet... so i didn't buy it
Any solutions? or just go w/ the solutions already listed above? thanks

I have the monster wireless, and it's really clear. You can customize it to your own station, so what i did is i went through all the stations and found the biggest gap between two stations, ex: 99.1 and 99.7 so i set my transmitter station at 99.4, so that it was completely clear of other stations. I have no static whatsoever.

Guys, I'd really try to stay away from fm transmitters. They're a super pain when you gotta change stations all the time and the quality isn't there. Ebay has a good selection of hardwiring options. Some even include an i pod dock cable if thats what your using. Seriously hardwire.

duburban, monster fm transmitters only sound bad if you don't set the transmitter to a custom station that's far from other stations. I've had my transmitter for a year, i customized the station immediately, and i'm very pleased with it. The only negative about fm transmitters are that you loose some volume while it's being transmitted so your music wont be as loud as that of a cd or radio station. There's no static at all on my monster, until you know how to customize settings and work the thing, don't give negative reviews. thanks.
