Default MP3 head unit

I do not want to change the stock deck but i want to be able to play my MP3 CD's. Can i interface a cd changer that will work the stock head unit? Or will i have to go aftermaket. Also is the stock deck Ipod compatible?

Most of us aren't a fan of aftermarket head units. There is no cd changer you can hook up to play mp3's. You're looking at a phatnoise or something like a denison ice link.

i'd love to be able to do that too, i hate the tapes and the FM transmitters though... my friend's aftermarket unit has a plug for an mp3.. but i would hate to have to switch the headunit. it flows so well :]

Im not a big fan of drilling a place for the MP3 station to tap into my stock deck. Man i am in a pickle. Is that the only way to play MP3/MP4's?

Drilling? Not sure what you are talking about? The denison ice link just plugs into the back of the radio and you route the connector out into the cabin or glove box. The ipod can then be controlled from your headunit.

i think he saw the connector that the ipod was sitting in and assume there was drilling involved..
