Default mounting my amp

I have a sub box for my 2 12" subs. I am not sure where to mount my amp. Would mounting the amp right to the top of the top cause any of the following: rattling, damage to the amp, a flaw in the box from a tiny tap in screw? I thought about mounting it vertically to the back of the back seat..but i think right on top of the box would work well...as long as it does not hurt the amp at all or rattle causing unwanted noise.

i had two MTX 10's in a box with a 300watt and 1000watt kenwood amp on the top of the box, no problems.

Its not going to hurt it that way but its always best for the cooling fins to be vertical so air can rise off them making the whole cooling situation better

my amp is a mono amp, i witnessed an install of 2 subs to one mono amp....that is possible/ok, correct? I can run 2 subs off of a mono amp.

Also, when sites say that different power is put out at different ohms, how do you set which ohms for the subs to run at?
