Does anyon have any suggestions to for upgrading motor mounts? i discovered my passenger side front motor mount is shot so it's time to upgrade. i see AWE has RS4 mounts, any advantages to these over other types? any help is great, thanks.

 

I think the RS4 mounts will only work if you have an S4

The RS4 mounts are stiffer for obvious reasons. As far as I know you can use them on a 1.8T. Call up AWE, they'll let you know if it won't work.

 

What model A4 you have? If you have a B6 I know B5S4, B5RS4 will work. Be wiery of the manufacturer you buy from with these "OEM" mounts. Cause that "OEM" tag is misleading. Do NOT get the Hamburgtechnic "oem" made mounts (however you spell it), they are made in India and have been known to prematurely fail. Make sure you get true quality made "oem" mounts like Avon, UK. (~$200 for the pair)
I am rocking some semi solid engine mounts currently. They are made the the same manufacturer that does the stasis ones. They are forged alum with polyurethane. Don't bother to look at the stasis website cause they're not on there. I just erased a pic of them last night. They're badass mounts and perform the best, but a lot for this car. They are also cost an arm and a leg......I got mine for $350......I think they now sell for ~$500-600. The only problem with these semi solid mounts is that my knock voltages are high.....they might be throwing off the harmonics of my engine. I'll know sometime within the next couple months if that's the case. Good luck.

For the 1.8T a mild upgrade is the V6/S4 mount.
A more aggressive mount would be the RS4. Both are direct replacements and fit without any modifications.
