IT is, unless you level 10 it. Otherwise you are correct. The stock tip tranny will only handle 300ft/lbs of torque at the CRANK not wheels. Just keep that in mind. It will cost you more to level 10 your tranny so it will hold the extra power of a BT setup.

Are those numbers crank HP or WHP? I believe they are WHP but I could be wrong?

sorry to bombard your thread but, i also am looking for bt for my 2001 a4. would you suggest the same. also what manifold does it run. custom or the same as the gt28rs

02, 01, same differnce. You can use the atp manifold and downpipe, both with T3 flanges to match
