are missfires a big deal and must be fixed right away or not ?
i know my car is missfiring ... only once in a while i can feel the loss in power and lil jerks .... is this damaging my engine? ... i am going to fix it but i have to wait almost 3 weeks before i could get it into the audi dealer... i would fix it myself if i knew what i needed to do but i'm not sure exactly what it needs ... but will driving it daily until its fixed be bad for my car ? since it only happens once in a while ... ? thanks

What year is your car ? Im assuming its a 1.8T ...
How bad are the misfires? Is the car really shaking ?
I dont advise you drive much with it like that unless you MUST .
Is the CEL flashing ? If it is , DO NOT drive the car.

I have random missfires on occasion, but I can only notice them when at idle. They are very random, and very occasional... Checking your plugs doesnt cost you anything, try that, if they are bad replace em with ngk laser's, if it keeps happening f-areound with the coil packs, if you find its a bad coil pack you might as well replace all 4 with the updated version.
