I can try to look it up later, but you fill it until is starts to leak out the fill hole.

Ya see thats what I thought, but then I'm not exactly sure if I'm using the correct hole to fill it up with (it seems to be the most logical at least). Its a bigger sized hole that is secured with a plastic peice (kinda looks like a sensor with a spring inside it, but no wires).

*FYI: When I dumped the oil it only had 2 quarts in it?

I'd suggest investing 15 dollars in a chilton's or Haynes manual which had pretty good pictures for basic maintenance, etc

Ya I was planning on picking one of those up, but haven't seen any at local part stores and kinda lazy to order online.

I've seen answers from 2-5? Can anyone who has a bently or similar manual look this up? []. I need to get this car out of the garage. I'm sure the 3 is fine, but I would prefer to be on the safe side (I can take a whole trans apart, yet not know how much fluid [&:])

Well I had to goto a German VW site (luckly its written in 1/2 english), but I found a lot of factory type assembly instructions. According to the factory specs it should only take 2.4Q's....
