Default Making progress...Carnage pics

Finally got back to school sunday night, yesterday after class I had my friend tow me down the road to the autoshop with his durango and some rope, and we pulled the motor. Took about 3hrs to get the motor out, pretty easy. then we started tearing down the motor. Today we ripped the head off and the rest of the motor parts. the bottom end is going to be made into a coffee table with a glass top, the head has some bent valves but im going to fix it and sell it.

Today I put a deposit on a motor with 22k mi on it, and an alternator, waterpump and timing belt 5k mi old. The forged rods are not on the market until Jan 1st so I will be pulling the motor in January and doing rods and a 6 puck clutch. I'm also switching to 580cc injectors and a vr6 obd1 throttle body.

Anyways heres the pics of the carnage

My new ice thats how i roll

ah, long story short, I spent all day and night working on the welding and everything to swap from the gt28rs to the t3/t04e, at around 530am, i decided to drive to my room to get my computer and begin tuning, i did a 3rd gear pull thinking that at 10psi it wouldnt blow, around 5000 the thing took off like insane, i was actually scared. at 10psi it would have murdered my gt28rs, then a split second later boom, and i knew exactly what happened. SO i coasted into my parking spot walked to my room and went to bed. So close but yet so far

That's hardcore... makes me cringe. You showed that motor who's boss...
err... or did it show you... yeah who knows. That's wild though, for sure!

I like the bling, very pimp!
And the pic of the motor with IC and piping was trick. Very cool. Hope it's moving under it's own power again soon!

not sure, 10psi was pretty wild while it lasted. I'll prolly run 18 daily, 22 when I want some fun, and 28-30 on race gas
