just turned 139k today... And believe me when I say they are all highway miles cause I have no feeling in my right heel I probably drive around 200 miles a day [:'(]

At that mileage i would deffinately be looking for boost/vac leaks/fuel filter/injectors/turbo-wastegate/everything. Have you at least checked your spark plugs??
I also forget and am too lazy to read back, but did you replaceyour 02 sensors? Didnt you have a code for them?? Could be a clogged cat too.

Anywho, the suggestions I was looking for was mainly for the wastegate issue and where to find a replacement waste gate actuator. And to answer you question "oneopoint8tee" I did replace both o2 sensors and I have no cat since I replaced it with a TEST PIPE as mentioned on previous posts. The injectors I haven't checked but I did replace the spark plugs probably around 6k miles ago as a general preventative maintence thing I do every 6 to 10k miles, minus the synth oil change every 4k or so.

 

I am having a hard time finding a site that sells a replacement waste gate actuator... Any one have any links?

Thanks man for the link but yesterday I put a boost guage on the car and it was reading 0 psi and WOT, i was pulling 22 inches of vacuum though which is good. I also hooked the wastegate up to a vacuum pump and the rod didn't budge a bit. So I still believe the wastegate is shot but at that price I think I can find a used ko3 which is what I am going to do. And no I don't want a ko4 just for the simple fact of money, the car having a 139k on it and I still need the car as much as a daily driver as I can since I am still in college and these repairs are starting to dig deep into my wallet. Maybe after I graduate and get hired for the FAA I can afford to do more performance mods but then again I just might sell the A4 and go back to my original money pit the RX7. Anyways I am rambling on.

I guess my next question is anyone got a used good condition k03 for sale and where do I get a gasket kit for the turbo swap?

 

FAA! You mean Federal Aviation Administration. They sure pay you well!! Thats for sure, and good luck with your finding k03, and I probably will Stick with A4, since I used to have a Mazda and Subaru...
