Would the cams need to be repositioned? I was thinking of buying the part off Ebay, I don’t know if it comes with the tool, do you know where I could get the tool at. This seems to have the capability of being more difficult then the timing belt but I guess I will see.

Nah don't you see the arrows on both cam shafts? If you can't see them turn the engine over until both arrows are pointing straight upwards, all you have to do is count 16 chain links between the arrows and bolt it back in, it may take a couple of tries but you'll know when you get it right.
As for the tool the #3366 like in the picture, you might be able to buy it from the dealer.

Check your oil pressure first to make sure its not that causing the tensioner to chatter, if the pressure is ok then you just need a new tensioner. If its just the tensioner you can drive it for a while but eventually it will throw a cam sensor fault and the power will feel sluggish.

Yea, for me I replaced the cam angle sensor (front of motor) first because of the check engine light indicating to anddisconnected the battery, thinking that would fix it (in my defense the contact part was warn). This did not fix the problem, so I then identified the problem as most likely being the tensioner chattering. I had changed my oil and seemed to be no sludge so I thought to myself this had to be it. Because my problems are identical to others (at operating temp the car would chatter and for one second on start up with a warm motor, along with only being at idle).
