I'm not sure what caused this, but i pulled the filter off and there was part of the o-ring missing. A little section prolly no bigger then 1/8 of an inch. I must of snagged it or something, but man, that sucked. thanks for the input guys.

 

Yeah that can be ugly, I lost about 1.5 quarts onto my driveway as my wife screamed bloody murder at me. In hindsight if she had just turned the car off like I asked her it would have gone a lot smoother....
