Default The latest problem...am I screwed?

First...I love my car...I HATE the $$$ it is costing me...driving totally fine all day and for a long time now...just spent $1000 on the wiper transmission, some hoses, some coolant problems, oil change, etc...etc...

Start it up after dinner...immediately starts to rumble and the check engine light starts FLASHING! Piece of S***! Here are the codes...what could be the problem...and how much more stupid $$$ do I need to spend on this thing?

VAG-COM Version: Release 512.4-UD

Control Module Part Number: 8E0 909 518 F
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0001
Software Coding: 0016751
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
4 Faults Found:
17887 - Brake Boost Vacuum System: Mechanical Failure
P1479 - 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
16804 - Catalyst System; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0420 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
16687 - Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
P0303 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded

The car is violently shaking while driving, and idle...the turbo seems to have disappeared on acceleration...and the check engine light is flashing non-stop...I am a travelling sales guy...and I can't afford to be without this car...it has everything I need built into it...

How much is this **** gonna cost me?

Don't drive your car with a flashing check engine light.

Get to a mechanic that works specificaly on Audi's or German cars.

Here's what you do...

Call you're insurance company...
Tell them you want rental car coverage, and tow truck service added to you're policy (provided you don't already have it).
Wait 1 day for it to kick in, and call them back telling them you have a major problem. They will tow it for free, and help pay for a rental car while it's in the shop. When it's completed, call up and cancel those coverages if you don't want to pay for them...

I know this sounds bad, but sounds like you are in a jam...

The misfiires sounds like a coilpack gone bad or the ignition amplifier. That will cause violent shaking but leave the car drivable (not suggested) sometimes. Change the coilpack on Cyl 3 with another coilpack location and see if the VAG code changes to reflect the new location...

Coilpack is what these days? 30 bucks?

17887/P1479 = vacuum pump failed, needs to be checked out

16804/P0420 = o2 sensor or cat fail, could be because of cylinder 3 fail system not at optimum

P0300 = multiple misfire detected, normal because of cylinder 3 not firing

P0303/16687 = coil pack cylinder 3 or spark plug failed

I think cylinder #3 has a lot to do with all the problems
