Default RE: ATP graphs accurate? GT28RS, GT2X, K04

.48 is a t3 housing and is the same as a t25 .64 housing

t3 To t25
.48 ~= .64
.63 ~= .86

also if you had a smaller 28rs turbine the flow would suck and power would be far lower.

I know it can't be purchased like that, but was suggesting what might work.
I've heard ofmaking a'custom' turbo with T3 .48A/R hot side on a GT3071R, for quick spool and maybe upto 350whp. If willing to sacrifice some top end revs then maybe could improve spool time on gt28rs.

Hi been a while since posted. Anyway had further discussions with Tyrolsport and it would suit my tastes to finallygo with a T3/t4 Super 40 with .48 Exhaust, Stage 1 exhaust wheel.

Am told T3 60 and T3/t4 40are very similar, but the40 and super 40 from turboneticsare more efficient.

Thanks cincyTTfor help with turbo info, this thread should help alot of aspiring Audi turbo fanatics.. lol

Hey cincyTT are you still about?
do you think that a aftermarket exhaust is a necessity for BT like the t3 super 60?
obviously I'd use a high flow cat and maybe larger downpipe.

2.5" is plenty for cars making 300awhp. The larger exhuast will spool the turbo faster and make more power in boost. If you can get your hands on a 3", you can do that also, should only gain a few more hp, and add more sound.

how big is the standard exhuast? I guess K04 wont need bigger than standard, but I'd put a hi flow cat in.

I'm wondering about either going BT or K04, for financial reasons, the clutch replacement for BT is costly, but I wonder if I'll have to change the clutch anyway just for general maintenance..

Stock is 2.1", which is still restrictive for any turbo car. Im not sure the few extra hp form the k04 would cause you to need a new clutch or not, but since 100 people have done it before, that answer should be on here somewhere already

I'd probly upgrade the exhaust abit, but seeing as the Audi is part luxury car, I don't want to spoil it with a loud droning/bassy sound.

if you go without BB, would you go bigger than a t3 super 60 spec? I'ma bit sensitiveto the lag issue as I have quattro. I wonder how t3/t4 would compare to a GT28RS?
