The Circumstances below have Finally been"Resolved" in terms of parts and labor reimbursement by the Service Director andOwner at theDealership.
I am obligated to report this on behalf of the dealership, although my opinions of theire Service Manager are still my own.

Well, I had a visit with the service manager at Valenti Motors today, and he told me to pound sand.
So, I had printed up pages ahead of time and showed him that when someone Googles "Valenti Motors Watertown Ct Timing Belt Water Pump" then this comes up as #1 in the search.

I'm not sorry I had to stoop to put their bad reputation as the #1 top link when you Google them, but Rich Ricci (Service Manager) will never get my business again, and I encourage anyone else that goes there to never have service, buy parts, or buy a car there ever again. I certainly won't unless the owner, Fred Valenti, refunds my timing belt and water pump job. I plan to speak with him personally and I'm alsowaiting to hear back from my attorney when he comes back from lunch today. Anyone that want to call them on my behalf, if the owner is as unreasonable as his service manager, their # is 860-274-8846, ask for Rich Ricci and give him a piece of your mind on what you'd do if they screwed up your car and told you to pound sand. Had to get that out.

BBB complaint already filed by my wife (needs to fix the details - loose wp belt, not timing belt)

In 2005 I brought my car to Valenti Motors to have some work done. It wasnt until a few weeks ago that my engine overheated on the highway. When I decided to replace the radiator myself I noticed that the water pump pulley was put on backwards and the timing belt was loose. This was a direct result in my car to overheat and could have lead to even more potential engine damage. When I showed Valenti the pictures they offered 5 free oil changes along with free oil. I felt this was inacceptable for all the damage they caused. I went to Valenti and demanded my money back or I would report them to the better business bureau when the shop manager said "he did not take threats" and threw me out of the dealership. This is COMPLETELY poor business ethics and something needs to be done about this.

I would like a full refund of $1300 from the work they originally did back in 2005

that dude Rich is an *******, i tried explaining proper business ethics, but of course he knows waaaay more than me and thinks im an idiot. i wish i lived over there, just so as he is walking out the door, i could punch him in the face and be like "did i knock some sense into you now, douchbag?" i think i'll give him another call tomorrow lol

hahaha....... i called and left a message for fred.... told him that he should be a good business man and take care of his customers or word will get around and he won't have any business

Called Audi of America (1-800-822-2834) and filed a complete complaint (reference # 80008799). Audi of America's dealership manager will be contacting Valenti about the issue and how they poorly handled this situation.

Just keep working your way up the chain like you're doing. The best thing you can do in my experience, is systematically work your way up the ladder. At some point, someone who's job it is to maintain a name and client base will realize what's happened, and the repercussions, and come to an agreement with you. I don't know that you'll get the whole schebang back, given the number of miles, but I would say you're entitled to a free redo of the work or the labor cost associated.
I'd say I don't trust the work , so I'll do it myself, but I'd like a refund of the labor cost of the work. That seems perfectly fair to me at least. after all, it wasn't the parts, but the labor that were defective, and could have caused major troubles. Hope it all works out for you.
