its really annoying when youre not sure if the doors are locked and you have to run all the way back to within a foot of the car to see

Man I can't find that write up either. It's somewhere on AW. I did, however pull my rear seat recently to look for that darn antenna and I couldn't find it. I would love to though.

If you find a write up that involves removing the rear seat that is the wrong one. That only applies to 96 model years. The antenna lead wire is in the passenger side trunk area along the wall. The TSB involves installing a longer antenna lead wire and running the antenna lead out through the quarter panel in a grommet. Just call the dealership and they will pull up the TSB and be more than happy to sell you a new antenna.

Oh ok...sweet....so that's why I couldn't find the stupid thing. [&:] I've got an appointment tomorrow with the independent Audi mechanic I use (been getting like 15 mpg and can't figure out why) so I'll ask him.

alright this one may sound even crazier then the key to chin thing, but i heard that on some model cars, maybe audi's, maybe not. if you lock yourself out of ur car, and you call a person on their cell phone via your cell phone, and they are at your house, or where your other keyless entry is. they hold it to the phone and press unlock, bam, ur in. like i said i dont know if it works,(never been bored enough to try such a rediculous idea) but supposedly the frequency or whatever that keyless entries use is different than any remote/frequency thing on earth. anyone with alot of extra time on their hands is welcome to try it and get back to us.
