RE: K04 upgrade worth it for k03s a4?
you had a turbo rated 20hp less than a ko4 so you would notice more of a difference. His it the same dimensions so little gain will be noticed and not worth it.
Josh, im sure a lower tq turbo like a t3t4 would be fine on a tip car. Get you 300hp and 250-260tq and be all good.

Oh man... no I am going to have to start searching on that one... Thanks a lot cincy, thanks a lot.
Not to thread jack but do you know any good links to look around for info on that? I just tried searching and its a bunch of confusing stuff that doesn't really answer my question.

A 50trim with a .63 turbine will have a good amount of lag, but that makes hp and less tq which the tip and stock rods need. You maybe able to get away with a .48 housing for faster spool, but im not sure. 300fwhp is had about 18-20psi and still in the 200's in tq.

RE: K04 upgrade worth it for k03s a4?
cincy, whats the max power achievable with a k03s?
i've heard of k04s getting 260-275hp with dahlback and giac tuning. this is a k04 with all the supporting mods, injectors, fmic, etc.. if i were to get larger injecters, fmic, etc.. and the proper tuning for my k03, how much power would i be able to get while keeping reliability.
i don't have the cash to spend on a bt at the moment, and i would be fine with 210awp and 260hp.

Cincy,
Thanks for the reply. My next question would be reliability. Is the gt28rs or t3 60 trim considered pretty reliable for daily driving? I don't want to run into constant problems with the motor or turbo since I need this car as a daily driver. I know stock internals are good for 300whp but it seems like a high number for daily driving. Car has 61k right now and most the maintenance has been done. Cam chain tensioner, timing belt, water pump, fuel filter, etc. Thanks for the clarification.
