RE: k04 times
weights not gonna matter on a dyno.....
weight will matter on track times but not on the dyno....
The only thing weight wise i can think of that will matter is unsprung weight i.e. rotors, drive shafts, wheels , tires... crank pulleys and other pulleies... other than that inside weight wont matter

RE: k04 times
thanks for your help. i think i might go with the Awe tuning kit, if they have a sale during Christmas, i will purchase then. i was wondering, if any of you have that setup, how is it working for you? what times would i get with the ko4 kit (exhaust included) in a quarter mile and 0-60. oh, yeah, one more thing, if anyone knows this, what mileage would i get with the k04? once again, thanks for all your input.

I dont think that stock WRXs are 15 second cars. From my experience a well driven '02+ WRX will do low 14's.Im not too sure how we got on the WRX topic, but i think a K04 would at least be good for low 15's maybe high 14's. Correct me if i am wrong......

15s from a someone like C&D. pretty conservative. keep in mind it matters who is driving the car. for instance, i've seen a completely stock '07 STi pull a 12.8xx 1/4. but they claim mid to high 13s. just food for though..
and 235Awhp not a chance, maybe 235whp but that would still be hard

RE: k04 times
a stock WRX runs lower than 15.2 for sure cause i ran 15.3 with a stock k03 and a chip with the CEL on because my MAF was reading 0grams of air. since i got my MAF problem fixed my car pulls much harder and peaks at 18psi so i figure ill run a solid 15.0-15.2 next summer at the track.
stock WRX is in the 14's guaranteed!

WRX run 15.2 stock. ive seen it time and time again. now i did see a stock srt-4 with just a short shifter pull consistant 13.9

maybe this will help.....
Dear Josh,
Thank you for your email. Nope you need to run the mods listed below. The power gains are approximately ~240hp - ~275hp depending on how healthy the engine is and if your intercooler is quality one. The biggest problem if the file doesn't run right is if the intercooler isn't top quality. The chip is 1.4 bar on most cars through the mid-range and 1 bar at 5,500 - 6000 where peak horsepower is measured.
The following is a list of the mods that are required for the PC16 file:
[ul][*]FMIC that will keep IAT's below 50 degrees Celsius.[*]3 Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator.[*]31 lb \"red top\" Bosch Motorsport injectors.[*]02 sensor with less than 50,000 miles on it.[*]Spark plugs with less than 10,000 miles on them.[*]Fuel Filter with less than 50,000 miles on it.[*]A clean Air Filter. [/ul]
If you are planning to upgrade to the PC16 file make sure you have all of the above required components.
