how long do you think willl it take to put everthing 2gether ??

 

Im pretty sure that the awe kit comes with some bosch plugs. Also i dont believe the hammer file exists anymore and the pc 16 is for pre 99 audis. But im pretty sure they have a more aggressive file for the 01. I went thru this with awe when they called me and told me that the hammer doesnt exist and i have a special ecu where i have to buy like 3 files, and i said thats bs, but what could i do? i asked giac about it but never got a reply.

 

yah so never got a call back from awe today but ill try again tomorrow. For how long his will take.... i have almost all the parts needed which i posted above and once everything else comes in im gonna get everything installed. Hopefully in 3 weeks EVERYTHING will be done. Hey lazerviking.... thanks for the ecstuning web, just bought two rs4 mounts!

What happend with your previous K04 install? And what year car was it? I am planning on doing the same so I was just wondering.

P16 is for non-dbw a4's - j31 is for the 2000 ATW only - not sure about the 01 and having an upgraded injector file - from reading post the hammer would be for the 2001 but has been discontinued for some reason - you'll have to wait till you get ahold of AWE or you can try to email GIAC. maybe you should have checked that out before you sent them your ECU

yah my mistake, they discontinued the file for my year the j 31.

 

i havent sent my ecu to them yet. Im not sending it out until a couple days before everything will be installed on my car. I cant afford to have my car sitting in the garage with no way to work. As soon as i get a hold of AWE or GIAC i will post on here what they say since the only aggressive file for the 2001 seems to be discontinued. Im not sure if they have something different now or why they discontinued it, but i will hopefully know tomorrow.
paintballguy... I used to have a 98' and thats what some of these parts were from. I first bought the AWE turbo kit with a 5bar fpr and installed it like that. The stock clutch slipped everytime the k04 spooled up....had to buy new clutch and flywheel.One turboblew because off TOO MUCH backpressure...bought exhaust system. Second turbo blew cause of same thing for some reason...bought hi-flow cat (fixed the problem). Then before I got to do anything else I totaled the car. Thats the story... this is why im buying everything and i mean EVERYTHING before i install thhe turbo. This way i can have alot beter hp and tq gains, and be able to drive the car without calling a tow truck every week

 

Ah ok, so I am noticing that I should not go K04 until I get an exhaust system... Got it. LOL
