K04 Dyno results

RE: K04 Dyno results
He said it calc maybe 15% drivetrain loss if you missed it. But he is not 100% sure on the percent.
Fwd are making that kind of power with a k04-001, seems strange that an awd car is making equal to more power with more drivetrain loss.

those numbers lookpretty muchspot on. DEFINATELY not low. PC-16 ususally makes only 220-230Awhp..

RE: K04 Dyno results
ok, here's the deal.
I'm not sure if the number that the software is spitting out is whp or chp.
I want to say whp, since the software knows nothing about my drivetrain configuration.
On the other hand, they could have a built-in percentage loss for "most" drivetrains. Dad says he thinks he read somewhere that they include a 15% loss.
So... do the calcuations...
WHP = CHP * (1-.15) <---- this is how they turn the calculated whp from weight and acceleration into chp for the graph.
WHP = CHPreal (1-.22) <---- this is how they should calculate it for quattro.
therefore,
.85 x CHPsoftware = .78 x CHPreal
and
CHPreal = (.85/.78) x CHP software
So, doing just the maxes, 202 chp from the software (with assumed 15%) turns into 220chp (with assumed 22%).
That sounds about reasonable. Thoughts?

it should be around 21% for quattro. Aside from what i normally see you have a pretty smooth power and torque curve for the giac, which tends to be peaky

if you want real dyno for a chipped k03, look at my real dyno for a k03 chart, from the link on my first post above.

That's what I was referring to. The graphs in this thread are just for comparison, they're not exact. But since you posted a real dyno of the GIAC chip as well as the graph you made with it we can see how different they are and use that to compare with the K04 graph.
I was just pointing out that the torque curve looks nice and smooth and peaks later in your graphs, but in the dyno graph it is peakier like mentioned before.
