Default K04.

The fun fund has $2500. And I would like to go k04. so my questions are....

Is buying the k04 pc16 file from awe my best buy?

What other supporting mods do i need?
I already have a 2 1/2 turbo back exhaust.
I plan on getting the k04 pc16 file, and new DV, and the ebay FMIC. What eles should i get? And will it be a huge difference going from stock no chip to k04?

I'm in the process of putting a K04 and PC-16 chip in my car right now. I bought the PC-16 from AWE and I should be getting it back in the mail tomorrow. They told me that with the K04, the FMIC, and forged DV I should get 380cc injectors, a 3 bar FPR, and new smaller gap cold spark plugs which I did. I just swaped the turbo out yesterday and am going to finish with the FMIC tomorrow and hopefully my ECU will be back. Then I'll be able to tell you all about the performance! Also you can check out a post I made titled K04-15 questions, there is some good info in there for you.

I thought it was a 5 bar fpr?? Or 4 bar, i just dont think its a 3 bar. My advice to anyone about the ko4 is that if you really want to change the turbo for performance, go with something else! If you are just replacing the ko3 ok fine. But seriously i put together my ko4 setup and i meen its alot better then stock, but i regret not spending a little more money on a bigger turbo setup. Just my input.

i hear both sides of this all the time. people love the K04 and people hate the K04

have you just driven much faster cars and thus are not impressed with its performance

just curious

go bigger. the ko4 is just a small step up. if your going through all the trouble of replacing everything might as well get a larger turbo

first off you dont use 380cc injectors!! PC-16 calls for 310cc injectors and the stock FPR. You will need a FMIC, exhaust, and a new DV is also reccomended.
