Default K&N Filter worth it?

ok i have about 120 bucks to spend. im thinking k&n filter and a diverter valve. Everywhere i call they quote me about 50-60 bucks for a filter. Do you even feel a performance gain with it. all i have so far is a neuspeed chip

I have a K&N filter in my truck, and it adds a little bit of oomph to it. You are not gonna feel alot of "Seat of the Pants" power increase, but there is a little. And it looks good under the hood.

I feel no better throttle response at all with my K&N in my 03 1.8T .
Waste of cash , get a DV and snub mount

I will take your word about that, I really dont know. My truck has a V8, so I dont have a clue what it would do for a 4 cyl.

i put one in by 30V 2.8....mainly gives u quicker throttle response, no big gains. its a good upgrade though, the stock ones are paper, this is a better cotton gauze material.
