I thought I turned mine all the way down, but I turned REAL hard and got it to turn another 1/4 turn and it made about a 5 psi difference.

 

OK, so I cranked it down as hard as I could and it still does not do anything... what else could cause the problem of overboosting? PLease I really need help.

It has been almost a year since i installed this mbc. From what i recall, the lowest we got the boost was around 13psi. There is a little hex bolt on the side you maybe able to loosen the close it more, but i think it will always bleed of some boost. I just installed it and never messed with it ever again, its on his car and has never complained about it so i dont mess with it.

I think im going to stop recommending this one also since it seems not all are up to par and the install is much more difficult than other mbc's.

 

Yeah... So that still isn't answering my question... If the MBC didn't fix my problem of over boosting and throttle cut what would cause? I heard a stuck wastegate. Is that a possibility?

what are you boosting just off the n75?

 

are you sure its in right? did you look at my sticky on how to put one in? maybe you need a softer springs. i know my forge one came with 2 springs

With the N75 it does the exact same thing as it is doing with the MBC. It over boosts to about 15-16 PSI and then starts detonating/throttle cut (Really bad shaking and engine sputter noise.) With the MBC installed I am bypassing the N75.

I did install it right. I confirmed with OnePoint9Tee last night that it was. I PM'ed him asking him if I did.

never mind i see that you have a bleeder type mbc. i have never used one of those before, im fimuliar with the ball and spring one

 

If thats the case, your mbc is fine. You might want to check the vac lines because you could be bleeding off boost that way before it reaches the wastegate. If all those check out, you probably have a bad wategate and need it changed. If thats the case, buy a wastegate off someone that has a blown turbo. Forge sells one for the stock turbo, but it might be more than what you want to pay

 

Found it, its $190 from forge. I would source a used one.
