RE: just finished the intall of my HIDs!
You should know, as you've purchased this kit... and have replaced fog light bulbs before.
How much work would it be to make this work in our fog lights? Obviously you can't contain the ballast in the foglight... so will we have to drill a hole through the plastic foglight backing?
I just shot them an email... I think I want a kit for my fogs, and hopefully they'll sell me a single bulb+ballast for my gixxer.

the fogs would be easy, because there is no dustcap like there is on the headlights. just plug and play. the only issue I could foresee would be finding a place to mount the damn ballasts.

But the fogs have a crazy plug... do you remember?
Like the actual fog light body, for it to come off the car you need to remove the Audi plug at the back of it. Then you twist off the cover, and you've got a little wire that runs from the cover to the bulb itself... I figure that the kits have plugs that will fit on the bulb, but how can the kit come with a plug that fits specifically into an Audi designed plug?

the kit just has two male spade connectors, they plug into the positive and negative terminals of the funky audi plug, and into the ballast at the other end. the HID bulbs have connectors but they run directly to the ballast.
yeah the fogs have a crazy plug, but I don't think you'd have to drill anything because the harness runs directly into the back of the foglight, unlike the headlights where the harness for the low beam is entirely contained in the headlight unit. should be pretty straightforward unless I'm forgetting something.

Question (and forgive my ignorance on the subject), but what is the difference in the kit that VVME offers and this one from LLTEK?
http://www.lltek.com/about_HID.htm
That's a huge price swing between the two kits, and the only thing i can see is that the LLTEK kit is Xenon, whereas the VVME kit is not. (or is it?)
I just ordered a set of Halogen H7 2-pc projectors from LLTEK, and i "may" upgrade to HID's in the future.
