You can debate all day about noises you hear.. Its just not that simple to diagnose noises over the internet. If its making a different noise than before you replaced the DV, then Id check the DV hose connections, especially the vac line that comes out the top of the DV. They get pretty rotted and crusty and it should be replaced every 60-70k miles. What may have happend is you turned a hair line crack into a larger crack during the DV install while moving the vac line around etc. That line goes from your DV to under the intake manifold. But again, thats just a guess. So the first thing you should do whenver a turbo/psi question arises other than to double check your connections is to get a boost gauge. Since you are getting chipped, a boost gauge is a must.
