ok i feel a little stupid asking this question but were is the best place on the underbody of the car to jack it up for the front/rear and also where do you put the jack stands so that it is the safest?

When my '89 200 Turbo had a flat tire, I just put them against the frame by the tire that blew and jacked it up.
The rocker panels also have clearly defined arrows showing you where the jacks go, do they not?

The pinch welds along the rocker panels can bend if weak. Not a big deal. Theyll still support the car. You can also use the subframes or suspension to jack the car depending on what you plan to do and what kind of jack you have. You may need a low profile jack to reach the subframe.
