Default Intake Mod Engine Light?

Just wanted to check with you guys about yet another check engine light. I did my version of an intake mod the other day (replaced the filter, drilled some holes, removed flap) and the CEL came on the next day. It runs fine and im happy with the mod, im just unsure if there is another problem or if the mod just tripped a light? Anyone with the intake mod have a light come on and or light still on. DONT FLIP OUT GUYS. Im not a noob just new to this forum. I have a lot of experience with performance upgrades, but this Audi just throws some many lights!!! Any input would help!! Thanks - Pounder

What code came up?

Maybe removing the flap tripped something.

If you oiled your new filter and over oiled it that can kill your maf readings.

NO, like i said i know what im doing. Filter is brand new out of the box into the car. Just the CEL'S on these cars are unbelievable. Anyone with the full mod have these problems?

X2... if you knew what you're doing you would've already had it scanned and posted...

PS: (If it's a) K&N filter, they're WAY over oiled from the factory...

I started throwing codes like ************ hours after i did that mod. It burned out all my coilpacks & maf sensor!!! Get it scanned to see whats the problem.

i bet its a sensor that you forgot to put into your intake.. That would throw a code for sure. Drilling holes wud be another dumb way of throwing a cel as well.

there is nothing you should be able to forget to plug up, and holes to drill into anything worthwhile

keep to the srt4 forum as stated in another thread, if you don't know what you are talking about
