Large port AEB. What options for the throttle body?

 

Each manifold will come ready for several TBs. The exact design is still to be finalized, but will have dual pattern on the plenum that will accept a stock TB and another, larger pattern (S4 and OBD1 VR6 are under consideration). There were also be an adapter plate that will bolt to the larger pattern and allow the use of other TBs (under consideration are R32, Mustang, and others). Custom plates to 100mm will be available.

 

The 007/QED A4 Intake manifold will yield 20whp with only a GT28R turbo @ 22 psi small port head. The larger the turbo better the gains.

Here is a before and after dyno of the Small Port transverse version equipped with a T3/T4 57 Trim Stg I wheel @ 19 psi 94 oct pump gas.

Gains showed 20-25 whp and 25wtrq in the mid-range. The small port intake mani flows around 600 cfm and judging from the dyno the small port head is now the restriction.



Nothing less than a set of catcams to open up the top-end. I have just recently installed a set of catcams 3651's supplied by Bobqzzi and will soon provide a before and after dyno. The cams are worth yet another 25-30whp ramping up beyond 5000 rpm to 7500 rpm.

My current 18 psi setting on my GT3076R-11 feels like my previous 22 psi where I previously made 330 whp and previously made 305whp @ 18 psi. My inj. on time (duty cycle) verifies this

I will be installing my own 007 transverse Intake manifold once I have dynoed with the catcams.
