Default Instrument Cluster Panel???

I have a 2001 A4 Quattro and my cluster panel is shot in my audi... I bought one on ebay to replace it. but it had higher milage then mines had.. My question is when I install the new one, is there an internal computer that will reset it to the original milage I had??? Its about 20K diffrence... from the old one. Or is there a place that can reset my mile to correspond with my serivce slips?

No the mileage is located in the cluster. It will read whatever the other car had. The dealership is the only one to change it as far as I know, and I doubt they will do it for you since you didn't buy it from them.

Not even the dealer could change it. Once the milage is programmed into the cluster thats it. If you program the milage incorrectly when installing a brand new cluster, a new cluster is required to fix it.

So, I can take 60K miles off my car by replacing the cluster with one that reads 80K miles?

the mileage can be reprogrammed to what ever you want but its illegal, the dealer can do it with the stamp of approval so value and insurance are not effected

The cluster can only be programed if it has less than 100km on the clock. (According to Ross-tech's site).
