This thing will recirculate all the air , unless it gets 18+ PIS (or 25+ for crushed) then it will start venting to atmosphere.

Kind of like the APS BOV. It uses a piston, and when the piston is is pushed it recirculates, unless alot of boost is had , the piston goes futher up and it opens another hole which vents to atmosphere.
with 1psi to any psi it is pretty tightly closed, vacuum opens it back up. Crushing the valve allows the stock spring to put more pressure down to close it during boost situations thats the magic of a "crushed valve". The issue is that since it is "crushed" it can only open so much and he is worrying about it not opening enough and compressor surge to damage his turbo. I will tell you I have been running a crushed 1g bov for over a year with sotck boost on a t25 and no end play yet. As well as no surge...

I think I'm still going to put the uncrushed BOV on, just to see if it's any more audible. I can't stand not hearing anything in between shifts.[:@]

Yeah i would make sure that venting, if not your turbo is not likeing you at all. Glad to see your going with a bigger turbo, but dont even mess with a gt2x, go right to a gtrs and do it the right way. gt2x= ko4, belive me.

your boost has to build up almost all the way for it to release all the air and for u to get the bov sound

I was getting the BOV sound from my stock DV at 3,000RPM at WOT.

Anyway, it's opening. Took it through a tunnel tonight, and you can hear it pretty decently.

Well audiboy, ATP is getting 263whp with stock everything aside from 2.75" inlet pipe, and 3" test pipe. And running 13.2s. With plenty of room left to upgrade, 12s aren't out of reach. This is my daily driver, I want the GT2X because it's cheaper, and I just want a simple bolt on system that adds enough power to make this slug more fun. I'll go with a big turbo down the road when I get another nice daily driver.

Where did you get those #'s from Zed? ATP's website? I know that people who bought the GT2X were extremely dissapointed... ... well more like extremely pissed off. K04 eliminator my ***... k04's were just as good. I never heard of a Gt2X making anywhere close to 263whp... maybe crank hp... who knows though, maybe they got much, much better tuning recently.

on the website they use timing and race gas to do this numbers. I wonder what was the boost at the time. 25psi? 30psi?

How the hell am I going to drive my car with a race gas and 30psi every day to make this numbers???

In my case, I dont really care what my car can really to at the highest point. I care what my car can do everyday at daily driving with my pump gas.

You know Zedex, mika sw still has lots of problems at least this is what ppl say.

Maybe it is good for you to go with k04 or wait little more and get an gtrs or something larger with unitronic or revo.
