You and onepoint8tee should think about gettign in touch with somoene if all goes well with mine.GIACis not charging me to write me the custom file I only pay the labor to have EVOMSupload it. I would love to see you guys take this next step with me. I'll get as much info as I can for you guys and pm you with what I get.

 

ya keep us updated on how the file works.. it should be fine though. i wouldnt worry a whole lot about keeping off the boost until you get the k04 file. I just wouldnt do a bunch of WOTing. Lots of people use k03 chip on a k04 turbo at least temporarily and have no issues. Hell thebishop is running his k04 on a k03 dahlback (i think) chip and we all know he drives like an *******! I think he may also have a 5bar fpr so the chances of him running too lean arent as high as with the stock 4 bar fpr. But still, dont be too freaked out about getting on the boost, i just wouldnt go get into it tooooo much.

A ko4-15has the same compressoras a ko3s with a slightly larger turbine. A ko4-2x (x meaning 20,22,23) has slightly large compressor and turbinethan a k04-15/001.

 

Calm the hell down.. Not sure where I gathered that info but I was told its equiv to the TT turbo or the same thing for like 6 months now... Thanks for letting me know though.

 

Us Q ECU has been kicked in the mud for too long now. Its time we stand together and FIGHT. But yeah give em call and tell em what Im doing see what they say. Someone should probably make a sticky about it since its not too hard to read the # off the ecu. I'm pretty sure (well obviously sure since others have already come forward) that there are other people out there who think they cant get a K04 cuz of there ECU. Well come Monday thats changing.

Not upset, just making sure others get the point. A ko4-001/15 (transverse/longitude version) will get you ~220-230whp on pump and a k04-2x will get you ~240-260whp. But both will get you tons of torque, the joy of small turbos.

 

you will never make 230whp on a ko4 sorry to tell you. More like 200whp. The fastest k04 ever was like 234whp

 

I agree with ny, its loud, but the first couple of days, it was so loud that i was like is this thing serious? BUt it calms down eventually, and at full boos, it just sounds like its pushing a lot of air, not so much that turbo whine you get from the huge turbos. They didnt have a program for me either, so i had to upgrade to the 3 different program setup, and had them just set it on ko4 file till i get a switcher, i think thats bs but what can you do? Its running like **** now, and im working on figuring that out.
