Your ecu # must end with "Q" like mine. When I found out there was no k04 chip i forgot about going k04. They told me at the time they didnt plan on making a file for the Q ecu. Pretty cool. Congrats.

 

Sounds like a semi.. How can a K04, an Audi TT turbo be that loud.. and how can 270 or whatever horse power it puts down scare the sh*t out of you... I think K04's are cool but they aren't that super.. its like a K03 thats matured... nothing spectacular. But cool deal man, glad the install went well, cant wait to see the video on it.

 

you have yet to turn up your boost amze. hell even with a little boost the ko3 starts to get very noticable. the ko4 is flowin quite a bit more than the ko4 so the sound is going to be louder yet. i can only imagine what a gt30 sounds like

 

Let me know how it goes. I have an 18Q box in my 2000 tip. I now have 175K miles (90K since I chipped with APR), and my K03 is starting to go out.

 

They had a K04 profile available for my 99.5 TIP when I got it done last year. Just incase anyone in here has a 99.5 they are thinking of getting done. Pretty awesome you are getting your own file =)

It can and it must but........It is killing me....I may never recover mentally and emmotionally. I'll need rehab.

 

First off dude....It's loud get one and you'll see. And it scares the sh*it out of me because it spools up faster and before I had all the vac leaks and a turbo that was on its way out so when I floored it before and though I was going fast it was still only at like 75% potential now with my K04 its brand new and all the vac lines are secure so when it spools up EARLER it pulls way harder then it ever did before so It scared me. When I get my software it should be even better. Im lovin it bottom line.
