installed the giac chip!!!
Hey guys-
Just installed the giac chip and took it for a spin... holy torque batman!
It was pretty much exactly what I figured it'd be. VERY torquey, but dies off in the upper rpm range. Overall, definately worth the 400 bucks.
That being said, a week or two ago I posted a picture of my hp/tq curves using the dyno-scan software on my palm. I realize that this method is not completely accurate, but its ok, it's a good comparison to the numbers I have now.
I imported the new runs into excel, averaged them, and superimposed the graph with the stock file graph. What do you think?

RE: installed the giac chip!!!
so what about the stock numbers? do they look low? if so, it's just the software.
if not, then why wouldn't I be getting all the gains? I replaced the dv with a 710n, i've got a small exhaust leak between the turbo and the cat, and thats about it. Any thoughts?
As for the actual numbers, I'm going to a real dyno this weekend so we'll see.

What other mods do you have?
If you want it to last longer into the higher rpms, you need an aftermarket exhaust, a testpipe or high flow cat, anda higher flow intake filter. That will keep the power going into the higher rpms. Fix that exhaust leak too, thats bad because the exhaust is what powers the turbo, so if you have a leak there, its hurting performance.
