INMOTION TUNING STAGE 2 CHIP REVIEW B5 1.8T
There has been a lot of debate about Inmotion Tuning the last few months. I sent in my ECU last week on Tuesday received it back as promised last Thursday. My experience with Inmotion has been great there customer service is great before and after the sale. My car (99.5 B5) is running awesome. My only mods are K&N filter and forge DV. As far as HP/TQ gains my car feels every bit as strong as the GIAC and APR chipped B5 A4’s I have ridden in. I am spiking to 20-21psi and holding 17-18psi very smooth no surging at all. Inmotion has been tuning cars in Europe since 1997 and just recently came in to the US market. For the 150.00 plus 20.00 I paid to have my ECU tuned I could not be any happier. If anyone is debating having Inmotion chip there car I say give them a chance.

Hell, *****, Yeah.....
Now - where are all of those nay-sayers?
There's some crow to eat for the people that claimed the company was a bogus, non-reputable, incompetent excuse for a tuner.
Seems like it's a great way to save money and get a solid tune.
Your post is VERY much appreciated.
Please keep us informed if you notice any change in performance - good or bad in the future.

I asked Inmotion about there TIP chip they said that they can only chip the newer TCU's my car is a 99.5 and they said its to old so I think GIAC is are only option for the TIP chip.
I will post 0-60 and 1/4 mile times when I have them I live in UT so the track dosent open for a while. I will take a speedo video from 0 to 60 and post it.

Glad to hear it bro!!! So the stage 2 chip is that the 1.1 bar chip?? I was told you needed a upgraded FPR for that, but I am not sure how Inmotions stages go. Anyway, I was supposed to send my ecu in last week to get tuned too, but pretty much everything possible that could have gone wrong did and stopped me I am thinking i might send it out tomorrow. Sounds awesome!

Glad to hear you like it.
Just to be fair, what you should do is compare to another chip. Maybe someone that has the same year car as you can swap their giac for your inmotion, and each of you can tell what differences you notice between the two, if any.
The only other way to get a good comparison would be to dyno the same car with each chip, on the same dyno.
But, your initial feedback here sounds like the chip is pretty good.
