Default ignition problems

I have a problem putting the key in the ignition. It is really difficult to get the car started and later to take the key out. I sprayed some WD40 on it but it didn't really work. Thanks to this, I was left stranded for hours on Sunday night. Any ideas what needs to be fixed?

Do a search for ignition control or ignition module. I think people have had problems with their ignition module and have had to replace them.

What you are describing doesnt sound like an ig.module. problem.. Does it feel like there is blockage in the ignition key hole??

Sorry I thought you meant that you had problems starting the car. So the key wouldn't go in all the way or you couldn't turn the key once it was in therE?

Default RE: ignition problems

hey guys, i'm having this problem right now. its almost like the ignition switch has sprung forward. when i turn off the car, i have to force it back and pull the key out or else the key will naturally spring forward to the acc spot. on top of that when the car is off my radio remains on. when i start the car, i have to turn the key back to "on" or else it will stay in "start" mode and the car will keep igniting. my car was smoking up and i thought that sound was coming from the engine, but it was the starter continuously igniting while i was driving. the key does not freely move back and forth, it needs to be forced back when turning off the engine but like i said its naturally springing forward. i'm going to do some more searches but i wanted for anyone who had this problem to help. thanks
