Default If you have a spare/extra ECU click here

Hey - I'm lookin to get re-chipped (since my ecu has a mystery chip that sucks ***) in the next week or two and I really don't want to loose my car for 2-3 days. I don't have any local places so I need to mail it. I was wondering if anyone had two ECU's (one in the car and a spare) and if I could borrow the spare. I'll paypal you $ for shipping and then return it as soon as I get my ECU back. I think my post count and history here should show that I'm not going to run with it or some **** like that.
What I need:
one ECU PN 8D0 907 557P - and the bosh # ends in 258 I think.

If you can help me out it would be great!!

Good luck with this one!
Why dont you just do a dyno run to see how you compare to other k03 chips first? They are all about the same unless you have an old .8-1 bar chip.

I'm at school right now but I do have a spare at home, this is how it was listedwhen I bought it:
control unit taken out of a 1998 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, AWD with a 1.8 liter engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and 51,000 miles - part number 8D0-907-558-M. It is in very good condition and fits:

1996 Audi A4 - 1.8L, eng. code AEB
1997 Audi A4 - 1.8L
1998 Audi A4 - 1.8L, thru VIN 043000
1998 Passat - 4 Cylinder, gas (turbo) thru VIN 188745

I am not sure weather it matters if tou are tip or not...but if it doesn't I'll b happy to let you borrow it...I bought it so that my car wont have any downtime....well, if it will work just PM me w ur info and I'll send it out asap (I wont need it for at least a month)

Anyone want to chime in if the 558M box with work the same as a 557P box ECU. I have a vag, so I can reprogram any ECU to my car's specs but just want to know about the ECU question.

As for my current chip, I have no idea who made it, there is no brand markings on the chip or ECU. I currently spike at 10psi (so .8 bar) then slowly drop back down to 5psi once I get over 4500k. I have seen it hold 15psi doing 60mph in thrid grear WOT, but only a couple times. Hopefully this will help with my 10sec 0-60 lol
